A coffee, a slice of cake and… a striptease. That was the unusual menu for a Thursday afternoon at the Villa Ter Vrugte nursing home in Bilzen-Hoeselt, in the province of Limburg. According to HLN, the residents were invited to a special party, and the performances prompted flushed cheeks and broad smiles.

The first to take the “stage” was a stripper, who quickly managed to attract the attention of the elderly audience. Then it was the turn of a female colleague, a dancer who proved to be the favourite of 86-year-old Roland. “That woman? She can come back anytime,” the elderly man reportedly said, according to the report.

Reactions were immediate: the residents’ faces reddened and the atmosphere became festive. The event was organized by the nursing home staff, who wanted to bring an element of surprise and joy to the residents’ daily routine.

Although such a show may seem unconventional for a nursing home, the initiative was received with enthusiasm. “It was a welcome change, and the smiles on their faces say it all,” representatives of the home said.
